EASTWEST Play Products for Mac and PC now RTAS® Compatible

May, 2008

In response to user feedback, EASTWEST, the industry leader in soundware development and distribution, announces RTAS® support for Mac and PC versions of all PLAY products.  Current PLAY-powered collections can be upgraded to include RTAS support through a free update posted on the company’s website (www.soundsonline.com/updates.php). The software updates (PLAY v1.0.056) are available for both Mac and PC platforms in both standalone and plug-in versions, with PC updates being offered for both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems.

PLAY v1.0.056 gives all users the capability to run every EASTWEST PLAY-powered collection (Fab Four, Quantum Leap Ministry of Rock, Quantum Leap Gypsy, Quantum Leap Voices of Passion, Quantum Leap Pianos, Quantum Leap SD2-The Next Generation and Quantum Leap Goliath) in all Pro Tools platforms. All installed versions of the PLAY virtual instruments will be automatically upgraded to the latest version of the sample engine.

"Adding RTAS support to all of our PLAY-powered products helps to further our users’ access to the added speed and power that our PLAY engine provides,” says EASTWEST Founder and Producer Doug Rogers. “With the ability to run all PLAY-powered EASTWEST virtual instruments on one of the most widely-used digital audio workstations, our users are able to focus on making great music as opposed to their workstations’ system requirements.”
