Redmatica Crossfades and Cannelloni Clinic Tour Coming to San FranciscoMay, 2008No sooner had MV Pro Audio and Italian music software developer Redmatica announced their swing through Southern California, than the technologically demanding samplemeisters of the state's Bay Area demanded equal time. "We spend just as many frustrating hours creating sampled instruments as those SoCal techies," exclaimed the group's hooded leader, "and we deserve to learn all about the innovative tools, total creative control, and incredibly streamlined workflow that Redmatica's Compendium Bundle offers." His plea then continued with a decidedly more menacing bent: "Bring me the head of Andrea Gozzi!"--a none-too-friendly reference to Redmatica's founder and technical director, and featured clinic host. Gozzi, whose award-winning software suite is wowing crowds with its automation of the traditionally painstaking tasks associated with the creation and management of sample-based instruments, was more than happy to comply with the group's "request." "Of course I'll be there," he beamed, "and I'll even offer you special prices on the software at the event." The additional clinic will be held at 6:00PM on Tuesday, June 10th, at Robotspeak, 589 1/2 Haight St., in San Francisco. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP immediately to info@robotspeak.com, as seating is very limited at the venue. Like the SF session, the three SoCal clinics, one at RSPE for the Logic Pro Users Group meeting, a second at West LA Music's Santa Monica store, and a third at the West LA Music Universal City location, will feature in-depth explorations of Redmatica's AutoSampler, Keymap 1.5 (recipient of the 2008 EM Editor's Choice Award), and ExsManager. In deference to the SF crowd's aesthetic, Gozzi will be hosting the evening dressed in all-black. "You know the gag," he explained. "When in Rome...."
